We recently stayed at River Chalets and Caravan Park for a family vacation, and it was an experience worth sharing. Getting away from Nairobi, we found the park to be a beautiful escape. Our two-bedroom self-contained unit faced the golf course, where we loved waking up to kangaroos grazing nearby. It was a joy to feed the friendly magpies right from our hands—not something you do every day! The park’s proximity to the river was ideal for our family fishing trips and kayaking adventures; it took us just a two-minute walk to get there. My kids enjoyed riding their bikes safely around the grounds, providing peace of mind while they played. While the accommodation was adequate, with a full-sized kitchen that made meal prep easy, the bathrooms were a bit dated. The area was quiet and set back from the road, allowing us to unwind after a day of exploring.
